I will be presenting the NRM at a workshop at the March 2014 at Croyde Bay Conference Centre (EX33 1QB) on 13/14th March

Having been asked to give a few words of outline, this is what I propose:

Nursery Rhyme Mass: Children’s Spirituality in Eucharistic Action

Fr. Simon Rundell SCP, Team Rector: Roborough Team Ministry, Plymouth, Diocese of Exeter

The Nursery Rhyme Mass is a Fresh Expression of the Church which seeks to be a fun way of sharing the mysteries of the Eucharist. It is used weekly in a Church of England Primary School, has been shared to great acclaim at the Greenbelt Festival and is now widely used in Churches and Schools across the UK.

The whole Eucharist set to nursery rhyme tunes, well-known and understood by children: it is intended to make All-Age worship sacramental and encourage the participation of the whole family in the sacrament of salvation in a profound yet fun way. The Nursery Rhyme Mass is an ongoing collaborative project available for use freely under the Creative Commons license without copyright restrictions. It can all be found at

We could spend ages talking about it, or we can just experience this low-tech, simple sacramental encounter, so this session will be primarily an act of worship, but with opportunities for reflection and exploration on how an accessible Eucharistic Spirituality might enhance your Collective Worship.

So, let’s play…
